This temporary, grant-funded position provides school-based social work services that directly support the STOP (School Violence Prevention) grant goals: preventing school violence, improving school safety, and addressing students' social-emotional and behavioral needs so they can be safely educated in district schools. The Social Worker is a district-level resource who works across buildings, delivers and monitors evidence-based prevention and intervention strategies, supports threat and safety assessment processes, coordinates services with school staff and community partners, and performs the documentation and reporting required by the STOP grant. The appointment is aligned to the STOP grant timeline and funding.
